My Wonderous Collection of Antiques
These are all my teapots, well, not all of them. I recently got a copper teapot that I'll eventually put on here. The funny thing is that I don't actually have any teacups to go with them. The bottom right one is not a real teapot, it's a container. The top right one was my first ever teapot. I think the silver one is my favorite, I like the shape, and I also like silver. It has a dent in the base, but I think that just gives it character.
I haven't actually used them for tea. BUT, since I have a copper teapot now, once I get the rust off of it I plan to use it. I don't want that beautiful copper to just sit on a shelf.
This is a bottle for 'Chevrolet 55 Avon Wild Country After Shave' The white part comes off, and that's where the cap is. It's empty but smells like chemicals on the inside.
It's yellowed over time.
THIS IS MY FURBY!!! I NAMED IT TOOF FAIRY!!! I even gave it some tooth bow things! They work, I couldn't get the damn furby to play any games though. In order to get it to work, I had to skin it and turn 2 cogs in its insides to get it moving again. Let's just say Toof Fairy had a very traumatic awakening.
Someday I'll be getting Toof Fairy a parent since they're a furby baby. I really wanna collect more. I got this furby from my local antique store, one of the vendors at the store sells quite a few furbies.
I don't know why but furbies are just really charming to me. Even if they're eyes are pretty dead.
It's a duck box. Got this at an antique fair. It sits on my shelf and watches over my room.
That's kinda it.
These are some cute figures I've collected over the years. The little angel on the moon is from Lefton, and the one with the garnet on the shoe is from precious moments. I don't know where the one with the cat is from sadly.
Recently I saw a precious moments figure that was a jester in a box. I didn't buy it, but it was soooo cute.
This was my very first thing I collected. It's a Lefton figure, I believe it's 50 to 60 years old. I remember walking into an antique store with my mom because she sometimes went there since they had clothes and some old nostalgic toys. There was this little narrow closet? area, which is where I found her. Her other pair was there as well but I didn't get her. This figure is actually supposed to have a parasol, but I'm guessing it got lost. Still love her nonetheless.
She got me into antiquing. Now my room is filled with pretty things and furniture and I'm happy for it. I was actually planning on putting my dresser with beautiful carving on this page, but currently a desk is in the way because of reasons.
I got these cowboy salt and pepper shakers at an antique fair, I believe it was the same time I got the duck box from earlier. One of them has 4 holes, and the other has 3, for some reason? Ngl, I've been wanting to get cowboy boots, I feel like I could style them well.
Got this from an estate sale. It's a 1994 special christmas Coca Cola. I got it because, well, wouldn't it be fun to just have a 3 decades old bottle of soda? It's one of those things in my collection that I got simply because it's a nice little piece of history.
It was like $2, how could I resist?
damn this is a lot of blank space
These are all of my cameras. Haven't taken a picture with any of them. I did research the middle one and I probably won't really ever be able to take a picture with it. The materials I need aren't being sold anymore. Still haven't researched the other 2, but I hope that I will be able to take a photo with them. The middle one was the first camera I got, it doesn't have it's flash, but it did have the instruction book. The front part of it got stuck, and I had to get pliers to get the god damn thing to come out. The one on the left is a film camera.
I'm not actually sure if this is vintage, it was sold in the antique store though. Even if it's not vintage, I'm still including it here since it's pretty. I believe it's an ichimatsu doll, I hope to dear gravy I'm not wrong on that. It used to be in a glass box, with a backdrop. I really hated the backdrop, it was like some yellow to orange cradient with gold flaking. So what I did it I had to pry the box off, took a bit since it was glued to the base. She doesn't take up as much space as she did before, which was another reason I removed the box.
Her bangs actually stick up quite a bit, they just don't lay flat. It doesn't bother me enough to try and style it though.
I LOOOOVEEE this vase. I love all the details, I love the colors, I love all the patterns. It's one of my favorite objects in my collection. I got a rose on valentines once, and I put it in there. I kept it in there for like 8 months. I literally took it out a few days ago as of writing this. That rose was DEAD dead. I didn't keep water in there for all the 8 months, I cleaned it out once the rose was looking like it had been through 10 mondays in a row. I think this vase is one of the earlier pieces I collected.
